Nov 3, 2025 – General Membership Meeting
President's Message
October is right around the corner. Deer Bow season is on. Good luck to all.
The October General Membership Meeting will be held at The Lions Club in town (240 Glendale St., LaGrange, OH 44050) same time as usual, 7:30pm. Remember, this is the Big 10 Gun Raffle. If you have any tickets to turn in get them in now.
We did good on the Fall Dinner and we will have the results at the meeting.
The youth Pheasant Release will be October 25th; make plans to attend with your kids or just to help. Reach out to Bob Shoemaker [(440) 429-0153] or myself [(440) 522-8166] if you’re interested in helping out. The regular Pheasant Release will be held in November.
Annual elections are held in November as well. All officer positions plus 5 Trustee positions are impacted. If you want to run for any open seats, let Roger Maynard know at the October meeting.
The Wild Game Dinner will be held in March. Please start thinking about what you might be able to make for this dinner. We will be asking you soon.
Thanks,Your PresidentMike Beckwith

Advertising Opportunities:
Trustee Dave Beck undertook a project unique to the Club and prepared an event program for the Wild Game Dinner that includes advertising in full color. These advertisements are now also included in the digital version of club newsletters. If you know of any businesses that could benefit from advertising in our newsletter (circulation 350) please contact Dave at 216- 633-7840. Also, please encourage your employer to support the Club.
Membership Bulletin It’s TIME to Re-up for 2025!
OK, April 1st is firmly in the review mirror. There are currently 62 members from 2024 who have yet to pay their 2025 dues. If you are one of them, you no longer have access to the range, and this is the last newsletter you will receive. Please, get those dues in!
And anyone who has paid their 2025 dues, talk to any friends you may have in the club and remind them. Based on the calls and emails that I receive, it is painfully obvious that many members never bother to read club correspondence.
IF YOU DO NOT PAY YOUR DUES BY THE EXPIRATION DATE, DO NOT EXPECT TO RECEIVE YOUR BADGE WITHIN DAYS OF ACTUALLY DOING SO. It takes some time to process, create, and mail out badges. The surest and easiest way to ensure range access is uninterrupted is to pony up before your current badge expires.
Regards, Rick

Website: (LaGrangeHuntClub.org > Membership > Membership Application / Renewal.) 2. In person at a General Membership Meeting (See 2025 Calendar) We can now accept credit cards!3. By U.S. Mail. Please mail a check or money order with the appropriate amount to:LHFCP.O. Box 131LaGrange, OH 44050
A couple housekeeping items:1. Please keep your club informed when your personal information changes. In the past year or so, at least two club members moved and did not provide the club with their updated address. After contacting me to let me know they never received their 2025 badge, I created another for each of them and sent them out. Unfortunately, these too disappeared into the oblivion that is the USPS before we figured out the cause. PLEASE, IF YOUR ADDRESS, EMAIL, OR TELEPHONE NUMBER CHANGE, INFORM THE CLUB!2. IF YOU DO NOT PAY YOUR DUES BY THE EXPIRATION DATE, DO NOT EXPECT TO RECEIVE YOUR BADGE WITHIN DAYS OF ACTUALLY DOING SO. A number of late-payers began complaining they had no access. It takes some time to process, create, and mail out badges. The surest and easiest way to ensure range access is uninterrupted is to pony up before your current badge expires. Regards, Rick

Junior Membership
The Junior Members Fund will provide a sponsorship to help cover the camp fees for The Lake & Trails – Youth Hunting / Shooting Camp again in 2025. Our Junior Members President, Jace Walters himself has attended all four years of this camp. Jace wants kids to go to this camp because it is a really good learning experience because you get to learn how to shoot many types of guns; including rifles, pistols, air guns, black powder and some archery items as well. You will also get the chance to throw axes, make a knife and even make primitive items. You will also learn about wildlife, how to trap, and even get your Ohio Boaters License and Hunter Safety Course if you need to. And most importantly, you get to hangout with other kids who like the outdoors like you do.
To qualify for the sponsorship you need to help out at a couple general memberhsip meetings and do a work party. Attend a general membership meeting and talk to the Junior Members President, Jace Walters for complete details and to sign up. If you would like to contact Jace email him at Recreation@JaceWalters.com
When you patronize supporters of JaceWaltersRecreation and the Junior Membership please remember to tell their management THANK YOU for their SUPPORT!

Special Announcements
Calling All Tradesmen! Your Club NEEDS you!The rental house the club owns (and provides a not-so-insignificant amount of income) is in need of repairs. The septic system is under repair as I write this, but the house also desperately needs a bathroom remodel. We are hoping to save $$$ on this by appealing to the membership for assistance. Any plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc. that are willing and able to donate some time or expert advice to the club on this project would be saving us a considerable amount of our finite funds. If you are able to assist us, please call or text:Joe Jones (440) 668-6079Rick Knight (216) 701-0121Always leave a message
P.S. – The house will also need a roof in the next few years. If you can help with that project, let us know.
