Youth Archery Field Tournament & Swap Meet (OPEN TO THE PUBLIC)Sponsored by Junior Members of the LaGrange Hunt ClubThe Youth Archery Field Tournament is a separate event from our FREE Youth Archery Clinic. This event is for those 17 and under only will consist of 2 classes; a 'Beginner Class' (Genesis Bow) and an 'Advanced Class' (Open).Those taking part in the Youth Archery Clinic earlier in the day are welcome to stay and shoot in the Genesis Bow Class and put what you learned to use in a competition environment.
Class Notes:Beginner Class (Genesis Bow)- Genesis bare bow only- 15 arrow tournament at a bag target set at 10 yards- Arrows will be scored by the LaGrange Hunt Club- Bounce outs will be scored where they hit, if that cannot be determined arrow will be reshot Advanced Class (Open)- No limitations on equipment- 54 total arrows will be shot, 27 at each of 2 separate stations (Field & 3D Animal) shooting up to 45 yards- Field Round: Shoot at 3 different distances, 9 arrows at each distance- 3D Animal Round: Shoot from 3 different shooting lines of varying distances, each shooting line will have 3 individual shooting stakes. Each shooter shall shoot 3 arrows from each stake during each rotation, 1 arrow per animal, 3 animals per stake. Once all shooters in a rotation have had their arrows scored, they will rotate stakes on that line. Once shooters have rotated through all 3 stakes, they will change to the next shooting line.- Arrows will be scored by the LaGrange Hunt Club- Combined Field & 3D Animal round scores will determine overall finishing positions- Ties will be settled by combined Xs & 10s, if still a tie then by a shoot off
